In light of the Government’s announcement that the UK is now into a second lockdown, we want to reassure all that RammSanderson will remain open for business!

The government has stated that businesses involved in the construction sector should carry on working where possible to keep the country running, and as such RammSanderson will be able to continue to carry out field based ecological, arboricultural and flood risk surveys.

Fortunately, due to the nature of our work we can carry out a lot of our work remotely. However, having learnt from the first lockdown, where we are required, we will continue to wear the necessary PPE, so as to not compromise the safety on anyone working on the site of our projects.

Heading into the winter period provides us an ideal opportunity to appraise sites ahead of next year’s survey season and help clients prioritise sites into 2021 with a view to any seasonally constrained surveys. Over winter we are busy conducting preliminary ecological appraisals, winter bird migration surveys, bat building assessments as well as bat tree climbing and hibernation surveys (to name just some of the things we can still do during the winter period). Our Habitats team are ramping up into the winter in advance of spring 2021 breeding bird season. Our Flood Risk and Arboriculutre departments remain fully engaged and without such seasonal constraints.

In light of this, should you have a project that requires RammSanderson’s expertise, please feel free to contact us on 0115 930 2493 or info@rammsanderson.com
