RammSanderson are proud to have been involved in the initial planning application for the rebuild of Bramcote College in the heart of the community in Nottinghamshire by providing ecological surveys, advice and recommendations to enhance the biodiversity at the site.
RammSanderson undertook a Preliminary Ecological Appraisal and Bat activity surveys of the site during 2019 and updated again in 2022 in support of the application.
The new building will incorporate integrated bat and bird nest boxes in sensitive areas of the site to provide long-term options for locally important species. we have also designed in-built bat and bird nesting features into the fabric of the structure.
Director Nick Sanderson, a former pupil at the site said “It’s great to see the site being redeveloped and in such a positive manner with the environment a key driver in its delivery. We’ve been a core part of the design team from the outset and have worked closely with landscape architects to deliver a scheme that presents a measured Biodiversity Net Gain on site.”
