We’re delighted to be establishing a new Northern Ireland operation headed up by Senior Ecologist Amy Skuce who will be based near Dungannon and establishing a team around her with continued support from the company Directors and opportunities for interoffice working collaborations bringing in our multidisciplinary skills.

Here is what Amy has to say:

I had been living in England for 15 years, working for RammSanderson for the past 6, really enjoying being based in Derbyshire. However, as time passed, I started thinking more about how and when I would ever move back home to Northern Ireland. Like a lot of people, the recent changes and the pandemic have made me reconsider my future choices and I was keen to be back home and closer to family. Whilst I felt positive about the possibility of moving back home (and maybe less positive about the weather…!) I was more cautious about the idea of leaving my job.

Having worked at RammSanderson almost since they started I have a great relationship with the team, have learned a lot over the years, and really enjoy the varied workload and projects. With the company having expanded within England and always being open to new ideas and technologies within ecology,  I thought I would broach the idea of me returning to NI and establishing a base for RammSanderson there. I was delighted the Directors, Oliver Ramm, Nick Sanderson, and Anthony Mellor were open to ideas and with home and flexible working being an intrinsic part of the company, even prior to the pandemic. My initial move has gone well, and I’ve maintained good contact and working relationships with the team in England. I’m fortunate to have been trusted with this new aspect of my role and I’m looking forward to the new challenge.

Director Nick Sanderson said “We’re looking forward to working with our existing clients and establishing new trusted partnerships in the area to bring the company and Amy’s expertise to the ecological sector in Northern Ireland.”
